GLOBIS x CEIBS: Top Chinese Business School Holds First Training Program for Senior Management

China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) located in Shanghai, officially partnered with GLOBIS Corporate Training in August 2023. In the past, CEIBS has partnered with world-leading schools including Harvard Business School and INSEAD. GLOBIS remains a long-term and trusted partner in Japan.

The CEIBS-GLOBIS relationship was established in 2014 with the goal of providing students from both universities opportunities for international exchange. This year, from June 18 to 28, the educational initiative expanded to bring together over 40 senior managers, investors, and future managers from Chinese companies to the Executive Program.

The program was conducted in both Japanese with Chinese interpretation and translation, centering around the theme of the uniqueness of Japanese management. The participants learned about Japan’s family-owned companies and companies with long histories.  Topics covered include Japanese approaches to management, organizational structure, and human resources.

Positive feedback demonstrated participants were satisfied with the knowledge gained and increased awareness of Japanese management practices. This led to a commitment for the next program, from March to April 2024.

Yoshihiko Itakura, the Managing Director of GLOBIS Corporate Solutions, who is responsible for the Global Team, said, “In 2022, we marked the 50th anniversary of the China-Japan diplomatic relations. We believe that deepening mutual understanding between companies of the two countries through programs like this will be of great significance for relations between the two countries. GLOBIS currently has offices in China, Singapore, Thailand, the United States, and Belgium, and provides services in Japanese, English, and Chinese. We will continue to promote global expansion from these bases and to contribute to human resource development in China, other Asian countries, and around the world.”
